Asteroid Belt Is Named for George Takei
A piece of outer space named for George Takei is in kind of a rough neighborhood for somebody who steers a starship: an asteroid belt.
An asteroid between Mars and Jupiter has been renamed 7307 Takei in honor of the actor, best known for his role as Hikaru Sulu in the original "Star Trek" series and movies.

Find Clues About Sexuality
In Gregg Mierow's family, there were six boys, brothers who grew into two groups as they reached maturity: Three are gay, and three are straight.
"It seems innate to me," Mierow, who works in advertising and as a yoga teacher in Chicago, said of his homosexuality. "It doesn't seem like there's any choice involved, and it seemed very clear even when we were very young."

Years ago I lived next door to a young born-again Christian rock singer (I know—it sounds like the premise for a sitcom). While Jason strongly disapproved of my being gay, he was also fascinated by it, and he constantly asked me questions.
