Group Will Patrol Hillcrest During Gay Pride Weekend

SAN DIEGO – The Stonewall Citizens Patrol, which in December started nighttime patrols in Hillcrest and North Park, will take to the streets with walking patrols in Hillcrest during this month's annual gay pride festival. The street patrol also is being organized because of a violent attack during last year's festival. Three assailants, one with baseball bat, attacked six men as they left the event. One man was stabbed and another severely beaten. The three attackers pleaded guilty.
