Man Says He Was Attacked
In Anti-Gay Hate Crime
A man said early Friday he was attacked and beaten in an anti-gay hate crime in the Rogers Park neighborhood near Loyola University.
The 22-year-old victim was approached by three men he did not know around 2 a.m. in the 6700 block of North Sheridan Road, police said. An exchange of words followed, and the men called the victim an anti-gay derogatory term, police said.
