Sen. Craig has Resigned

Saying he was "deeply sorry," a humbled Sen. Larry Craig announced Saturday that he will resign from the Senate as he pursues legal options to try to undo his guilty plea following an undercover sex sting operation in a men's bathroom.

Craig (R-Idaho) stood with his family by his side, as well as the governor of Idaho and other Republican officials, as he told supporters in Boise that he would do what is best for the people of Idaho by removing an "unwanted and unfair distraction" from the Senate.
