'The Floridian Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale announced this afternoon that the restaurant is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those persons responsible for the beating of one of its patrons outside the restaurant on East Las Olas Boulevard last Sunday morning.

Stated Mr. Frank Samp, the owner of the restaurant, "We will not stand for acts of unjustifiable violence being committed against any guests or patrons of this establishment, let alone those targeted against someone because of their sexuality. Few establishments in this community have been as GLBT supportive, friendly and inviting as the Floridian. The entire staff and the establishment encourages anyone with information about this outrageous attack to contact the Fort Lauderdale Police Department at once."
