Challenges Conviction
on Soliciting Prostitute
A former Republican lawmaker will be in court to challenge his conviction on soliciting a prostitute in central Florida.
Bob Allen's lawyers are expected to ask a panel of three Brevard County Circuit Court judges Wednesday to throw out his conviction on grounds that he didn't get a fair trial.
Authorities say Allen agreed to pay $20 to perform oral sex on an undercover police officer in a men's restroom at a Titusville park last year. Allen maintains his innocence.
