Charles Wuorinen to Compose an Opera
Based on Brokeback Mountain

New York City Opera General Manager-Designate Gerard Mortier proudly announces that the distinguished American composer Charles Wuorinen has accepted City Opera’s invitation to compose an opera based on Annie Proulx’s renowned short story Brokeback Mountain.
